VAXBaby 34: Should I spread my child's shots out?
If you’re like a lot of moms, you might feel like there are too many shots. Because I also feel that way, my goal is to reduce the number of shots necessary as far down as possible. Zero would be ideal. You’ve probably also seen a picture like this one where there is a tray full of syringes and band-aids. If this image doesn’t at least send a little bit of terror through your heart, I don’t know what would. It’s an awful image. No mother, child, or nurse or doctor for that matter really WANTS to put a child through this. It’s a terrible experience—getting so many shots in one visit. Humans have a primal fear of being stabbed with things—it’s just a natural response to external things breaking through the surface of our largest organ—our skin.
