Hepatitis A is an extremely rare viral infection that can negatively affect your liver function. When someone does get it, it’s usually through some contaminated food. You may recall an occasional news story about a restaurant temporarily shutting down for a few days as they sterilize the whole place? This is probably due to someone having come down with a Hepatitis A infection after having eaten there. In adults, the infection can cause extreme fatigue, joint pains, nausea, vomiting, and many other unpleasant side effects. For some reason, in children, the infection seems to be completely mild. In fact, many children get the infection but no one even notices.
