VAXBaby 19: The Flu Vaccine
At your baby’s 6-month well-child visit, your doctor is likely to recommend a new vaccine, if they haven’t already been offered it—the flu shot. The flu shot is probably one of the most commonly mentioned—and commonly skipped—vaccines in the United States, if not other countries. You’ve no doubt heard of many people saying they caught the flu after getting the flu shot and other problems with the vaccine. Other reports will talk about whether they “guessed the right strain” this year or not. If they guess the right strain, then the shot works better. If not, it doesn’t work so good.
