VAXBaby 16: The Rotavirus Vaccine
The final and 7th or 8th vaccine your child will be recommended at their 2-month checkup is the Rotavirus vaccine. Rotavirus is a common infection. It starts off like any common stomach bug, but can cause severe cases of diarrhea. In first world countries, it is not considered a dangerous disease. The only real danger comes from your baby becoming dehydrated from days and days of diarrhea without offsetting it with liquids. Most anyone whose child has been having days of diarrhea is going to go see their doctor and take care of this problem, but I guess some people are not paying attention and don’t realize their baby is getting dehydrated.
